1.Startup

(1) Enter the application catalogue; run the "DuDu Recorder"
(2) Select "background", the icon of the "DuDu Recorder" will show us a blue semicircle which means that it is running

 

(3) Look over the state:

When you want to inquire a specific conversation, just press and hold the button until the currently running software is displayed, then select "DuDu Recorder".

Settings

Enter the settings: push down the right direction key when you are at the call list interface, and then you can enter the settings interface. Click the “back”, it will be reserved automatically and turn back to the call list interface.

 

1.Auto start

Power-on start-up: if you select “yes”, “DuDu Recorder” will start-up automatically as soon as the cell phone power is on. If you select “no”, “DuDu Recorder” needs to start manually when you power on your phone.

 

2.Record Mode

(1). Automatic

Once the call gets through, "DuDu Recorder" will record your conversation automatically.


 

(2). Ask before recording

Select this mode to manually choose if you want to record a call or not.

 

(3). Ask after recording

Select this mode if you want to save the recorded file or not.

 

 

(4). Manual

S60 3rd(N73,N82,N95,etc):

Set "Hotkey" to the key that you want, then select menu or just press the button (approximate 2 secs) to Start Recording, select menu or press the button (approximate 2 secs) again to Stop Recording.


S60 5th(5800XM,N97,X6,etc):

Set "Hotkey" to the key that you want, then select menu or just press the button 3 times quickly to Start Recording, select menu or press the button 3 times quickly again to Stop Recording.

 

 

3.Beep

Set "Beep" to YES if you are using Nokia E52,6720,6730 and you will hear beeps every 10 seconds when in call recording progress.

4.Beep Tone

Some devices beep when recording calls. An alternative to setting "Beep" to "No" is to use Beep Tone to prevent beeps.

5.Storage option

Recorded clips can be saved into cell phone EMS memory as well as memory card as you wish. It will also show you the amount of space left or duration of conversation that can be recorded on the screen. The recording cannot continue unless there is space left.

Attention: cell phone memory is similar to the PC memory, It is the space to run the phone operating system and applications, the reduction of the cell phone memory will slower the whole system. So for the cell phone with memory card, it is suggested to set the memory card as the saving destination and spare at least 10M’s space; for the one without memory card, you had better get a piece, insert it into the phone and reset its saving position.

6.Run as system app.

After selecting the mode, the software at run time will not be able to be detected:

(1) Cannot look through the icons to find.

(2) Cannot be found through the task list.

 

 

7.Show indicator

(1) Always: the indicator will appear on desktop.
(2) When working: when recording, the indicator will appear on desktop.
(3) Never: no tips or information on desktop. the software at runtime will not be able to be detected.

 


8.Password Protection

In case there is a need to protect privacy, please activate the option. On each access to the software there after, there will be a need to enter the correct password to verify the identity and give access to the software only to the genuine user.

 

 


Menu

1.Play the record

When you need to replay one record, you should select it from the call list, and then push down the centre of the direction key the time that it will replay, Please push the "Back" when it finishes.


 


2. Mark/Unmark

 

Records of the selected tag, and only after the tag, can we have chosen to delete the records or send operation. Marked by menu or by shortcut keys to operate.

 

3.Delete

When deleting the current record, is the shortcut.


 

4.Backup

Recorded clips backup to a computer, there are three ways:

1.wireless (Bluetooth or infrared)
Requirements: the computer must support Bluetooth or infrared.
(1).'mark' the record.
(2).'wireless', send the file to your computer.

2.Data cable
Requirements: Data cable
(1).'mark' the record.
(2).'Copy to gallery', copy files to the phone's shared directory.
(3). With the data cable to connect a mobile phone and computer.
(4).The shared files in that directory can be moved to the computer.

3.card reader
Requirements: phone has a memory card, computer with card reader
1,2,4 steps Ibid.
(3).The memory card from the phone unplugged, insert the card reader, receipt of the computer.


Note: If you have a memory card, shared directory is E:\ data\dudu; there is no memory card, shared directory is C:\data\sounds\dudu

 

 

5.Lock/Unlock

(1) lock: when there comes an important record, in case of deleting by mistake, we can use lock, which can be manipulated through the menu also the shortcuts,after that, the record will be in protection and cannot be deleted.
(2) unlock: when we do not need a record any more, it requires us to unlock it then to delete, or we cannot succeed in deleting.


 

6.Other: Sort, Edit, Call

(1) Sort by date: ranking from the latest to the earliest by time.
(2) Sort by name: taking the name and phone number as the fact to rank.
(3) Edit Note:On the identity of individual recordings.

(4) Rename Filename: Important documents were done on individual identity.
Attention: don't use special character, like `"!|#*@^&(), otherwise recorded clips will lost!

(5) Dial: dial the number selected automatically.is the shortcut.
(6) Send SMS: send sms to the number selected.

Know issues

(1) It is impossible to remove beep on device E52，E55，E72，6710，6720，6730, you can set "warning beep" to ON, then device will beep every 10-15 secs when call recording; if set "warning beep" to OFF, device will beep every 1 secs。
(2) Devices will beep once when SMS received in call recording.


Record format

(1) Format: the amr format adopted has been set when produced, suiting sound compress and saving.
(2) characteristic: high compressing efficiency but a little bit distortion which can be ignored. During the conversation, if both of the sides keep silent and there is no clear background sound, the record file will not be magnified by the time.
(3) time/space: according to the calculation: the capacity of 1M space can store a 25 min- long sound record, a 100M space could the sound record as long as 42 hrs.
